Into the Thicket

A thicket is a dense growth of shrubbery or small trees. They can be so dense that day light may not penetrate all the way to the ground. They can be very cool during the heat of the day here in the high desert of the southwest. They can also stand as a metaphor for a threshold into the dark underworld of the unconscious mind.
